Dancing with the local Stars

Our first annual showcase is coming up, September 30th from 1:00-5:30PM,
and we hope to see everyone there! Tickets are available now, call or email Greg for
purchasing information. The show's theme is whether teachers, or
students, doctors, or lawyers, housewives or engineers that all of our
students are stars,. The audience will choose the top Pro-Am and Amateur
couples, just like the TV show. We'll have lots of door prizes, an exciting
dance lesson, a nice catered dinner, and hours of social dancing!

Congratulations to all our students who danced in The Windy City
Open this weekend! They all did an awesome job, and we are
very proud of Krystyna Adamczyk, Lauren Balsie, Nazariy Blagyy,
Hirono Kinney, Krystyna Pawlowski, Lucyna Polanski,
Katarzyna Sekura, and Anna Zieba.

Next week keep your fingers crossed for Greg and Erin in Florida at the
United States Dance Sport Championships.

Congratulations to all of the students who danced at The Great Race at Notre Dame last month!
We had many students representing Greg Rykowski Dance Studio, and all of them placed extraordinarily well.
We are so proud of everyone who participated!

Come start the summer off with a bang this Saturday night, with Greg Rykowski!
On Saturday, June 9th, Greg will be teaching a workshop from 7:30-8:15,
for the United States Amateur Ballroom Dancing Association's local chapter.
The workshop will take place, 5 minutes from the studio, at:
The Centre at North Park.

After the workshop, some of the studio's most experienced students will perform with
Greg, and then a social dancing party will follow! This is a great time to practice
everything you've learned at Greg Rykowski Dance Studio.

Come and join us, for the workshop, the performance, and for the
party that will follow, from 8:15-11:00. For all this, the entry fee is just $10!

We hope to see you there!

There will also be a special coach in the school this Saturday!
This weekend Iveta Lukosiute, current UK 10-Dance Champion,
and 2nd in the World 10-Dance Championship, will be available for coaching lessons at GRDS.
If you are interested in lessons with outside coaches,
talk to Greg and he will let you know when the next coach will be in!

Dear Friends,

Hope your'e staying warm this winter. We had and awesome turnout for our
First AnnualChristmas Song and Dance Party.
It was a fun-filled evening with lots of friendly warmth and cheer.

Harvest Moon Ball 2006

Greg and Erin danced in the Polonia Star 2006, Christmas concert,
and it is airing everyday on Channel 48 (cable 248) from 8-9pm, 12/24-1/1.

Harvest Moon Ball

We'd like to congratulate all of our students that competed at Chicago's Harvest Moon Ball, October 13th and 14th.
They all scored very high and represented Greg Rykowski Dance Studio extremely well.
Krystyna Adamczyk won the Bronze Solo Division with her routine, Latin Mix. As an award for her high score, she was asked to perform in the evening show,
in front of an audience of around 300 people. She did a wonderful job, and we are so proud of her! Lila Dole won the Silver Championship in the Latin Division, as well. Each of Greg s students that competed in Latin Scholarships won first place!
Lucy Polanski won the Newcomer Scholarship,
Lauren Balsie won the Bronze Scholarship,
Nicole Klekowski won the Silver Scholarship, and
Krystyna Pawlowski won the Open Gold Scholarship.
